We also fulfill the warranties, lien releases, insurance certificates, and complete paper trail for every one.

3M™ window film warranties cover labor and materials

3M™ window films are warranted to maintain their solar properties without bubbling, peeling, cracking, or crazing. Should the product proved to be defective, 3M and the authorized 3M Dealer will replace the film and provide the reapplication labor free of charge.

Additionally, 3M warrants against glass failure due to thermal shock fracture or seal failure (maximum value of $500 per window) caused only as a direct result of the application of 3M Window Films provided the film is applied to recommended types of glass and the glass failure is reported to the seller within the specified time from the start of the installation.

Warranties for Residential Window Films

For residential applications, the warranty is valid for as long as the original consumer of the 3M Films owns and lives in the home. Any glass failure covered by this warranty must be reviewed by the authorized 3M Dealer prior to repair, and only covers film and glass replacement. For more peace of mind, consider the Platinum Select Warranty with following benefits:

  • The Platinum Warranty matches the terms and conditions of the residential customer’s existing window manufacturer’s warranty for $.35/square foot.
  • The warranty increases the replacement value of $500 per window to $1500 per window. This allows the customer continuous coverage on new windows and the peace of mind of having 3M’s assurance that their window investment is protected.

Warranties for Commercial Window Films

Commercial window films have 10, 12 and 15 year warranties. The warranty is provided only to the original purchaser and is not transferable. Any glass failure covered by this warranty must be reviewed by the authorized 3M Dealer prior to repair, and only covers film and glass replacement.
