3M window film brings the sunlight from the edges into the interior
It is a familiar story. The employees or tenants close to the window fight the glare and those further away from the windows depend on artificial light. 3M’s Daylight Redirecting film redirects and disperses natural light that normally falls a few feet within a building’s interior to the ceiling. The interior band of light can be expanded by as much as 40 feet into the room. This film is designed using microscopic particles that act like prisms – micro-replication. This is more than just another buzz word. Micro-replication helps lower the energy bills by providing more natural light. Additionally, it can also be used with the Solar Control Films to reduce a building’s use of HVAC.
- Reduces glare and discomfort caused by direct sunlight on occupants
- Extends daylight zone up to 8 ft into the interior for every 1 ft of treated window
